If you own a smartphone, then you know that aside from taking calls or checking social networking sites, it’s also the camera of choice when taking spontaneous photos. Gone are the days when we have to lugged a separate point-and-shoot camera every time we go out of the house.
However, digital cameras are still ahead of the game when it comes to lenses. That’s the reason why Justine Prior of Santa Clara, California started the Kickstarter project called WoW Lens. The said project aims to take phoneotography to the next level by giving the iPhone camera five features that “rivals the performance of a 200mm camera.”
The WoW Lens features a protective and shockproof casing with a carousel of small lenses. It comes with a macro lens, wide-angle lens, cameo function, and polarized neutral density lens. Aside from those lenses, the smartphone accessory is also equipped with eZoom, a bundled software that enables “lossless” zooming to both saved images and live shots.
At the time of writing, the project is still $40K short of its funding goal of $50,000. If you think that the WoW Lens is a “must-have” accessory for your iPhone camera, you can help move the project by pledging at least $50.
