A tripod is one of the most useful pieces of equipment for getting that perfect shot. But the problem is that you can’t always bring that big tripod with you. That’s why a group of friends from San Francisco, CA created the Tiltpod.
The Tiltpod is a Kickstarter project started by Clint Slone, and Mike and Eric Strasser. This pocketable gadget features a quick-connect magnetic ball pivot that easily snaps onto your iPhone or any compact digital camera. Aside from taking pictures, you can also use the Tiltpod for FaceTime or watching movies.
Unfortunately, it can’t support those big interchangeable lens cameras like DSLRs, Sony NEX, or MFTs due to their heavy lenses; but that doesn’t mean it won’t come in very handy.
The Tiltpod, which is available in Green and limited edition Gold & Black, is yours for only $14.95.
But if you don’t mind the bulkiness of a tripod, you can always create the DIY binder clip smartphone tripod.
