For us techies, when a pundit describes a gadget as “sexy”, it only means one thing: beautiful design. But in this imperfect world, we can’t get everything we want — including “sexy” gadgets.
And to prove that point, Gizmodo has compiled a list of the eight ugliest cameras to ever plague this planet. Even design-centric Apple did not escape their razor-sharp claws.
Here’s the list of the ugliest cameras that the human race has created thus far:
- Apple QuickTake 200 – 1996
- Canon Powershot SX150 – 2011
- Casio QV-2900UX – 2001
- Hasselblad H4D-40 Ferrari Edition – 2010
- Kodak Easyshare C653 – 2007
- Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z20 – 2005
- Olympus AZ-330 – 1990
- Sony F505 – 1999
Of course, as the old cliche goes: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” so one man’s ugly may be another man’s beautiful. The moral of the story? Don’t be surprise if your favorite digital camera gets tagged as “ugly” 20 years from now.
Maybe we should include the Sony Mavica in this list. What do you think?
