Timelapse+: The Kickstarter project that ups the ante on intervalometers 0

Intervalometer–a name that sounds like a gadget from Star Trek–is a device needed in shooting timelapse photography. It’s a timer device that automatically triggers SLR cameras.

If you’re into this kind of photographic art, you’d be glad to hear that Elijah Parker has started a Kickstarter project called Timelapse+, an intervalometer prototype that packs a lot of features.

Some of the key features are:

  • USB Charging
  • Bluetooth Connectivity
  • Advance Timelapse
  • Built-in Light Sensor
  • IR port for triggering camera
  • Save/Load Timelapse settings

The device, which was previously known as the Timelapse Pro, can connect to SLR cameras like Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony, Minolta, and Olympus. An adaptor cable connects the camera and Timelapse+ via its 2.55mm jack.

Parker is going to open source its firmware so that other people can contribute to its development. And of course, if you want to own a Timelapse+, hit the source link below and get ready to pledge at least $129 to the project.
