Hear that TogTech readers? Yes, the rumblings are the excited chatter of tech enthusiasts all over the world, who have only one thing on their mind; the CES 2012 Fair. The Mecca of everything electronics is just round the corner (January 10th-13th) and thousands of techies are already planning to throng to the sinful city of Las Vegas to splurge on some shiny new gadgets.
This year, expect the headlines to be dominated by slimmer tablets, smarter smartphones and of course some unbelievable photography goodness. In fact, camera giants have already started announcing new products; Fujifilm being one of the first few.
At CES 2012, Fujifilm will unveil a plethora of cameras and the Fujifilm FinePix Z110 is just one of the many. This point and shooter is available in pulsating colors like pink, purple, jade, blue, white and black so that it can appeal to teens, as well as the fairer sex. The 14-megapixel shooter packs quite a punch with specs like a 5x Fujinon zoom lens, 720p HD movie support with dedicated movie record button, illuminated buttons and a 2.7-inch LCD screen.
Even though the Fujifilm is targeting the FinePix Z11 at amateurs, the lack of mechanical or optical image stabilization is disappointing. However, they do make it up with incorporating features like Intelligent Flash technology with maximum sensitivity of ISO 3200, a dedicated Night Out mode, FinePix Face Retouching function and a Motion Panorama mode. No word on pricing or availability, but do try it at CES 2012, if you get a chance to visit Vegas.
