Sony has officially unveiled their new a57 SLT Camera, which will be replacing the discontinued Sony a55. The most striking feature of the camera is that it’s equipped with digital-zoom capabilities. For example, the a57 can expand the 18-55mm kit lens up to 6x using the Clear Image Zoom feature.
It also uses face detection technology combined with digital zoom to come up with the Auto Portrait Framing feature, which lets photographers crop and reframe a composition automatically.
