Silver Ikon rangefinder camera discontinued by Zeiss 0
Just weeks before the rumored announcement of the new Distagon T* 2,8/15 ZF.2/ZE super wide angle lens, Zeiss has now announced that they have discontinued the silver Ikon film rangefinder camera.
On Cosina Japan’s website, the silver Zeiss Ikon was labeled with: “This product has been discontinued.”
The silver Ikon rangefinder is joining last year’s candidate, the Ikon SW (without viewfinder/rangefinder version), on Zeiss’ list of discontinued cameras.
As consolation, the $1,618.00 black Zeiss Ikon rangefinder camera is still up for grabs.
Zeiss has previously stated that they are focused on producing more high-end lenses and have no plans of making a digital rangefinder camera in the future.
