Shawn Reeder’s Awe-inspiring Yosemite Time-lapse Was Two Years in the Making 0

Shawn Reeder decided to move to the Sierras after winning a trip to Yosemite when he was 18. There, he was able to pursue his passion for photography and timelapse cinematography.

We all know that the best art pieces are the ones made with a lot of heart and passion. And Shawn’s timelapse of Yosemite and the Sierras certainly fits that description. It took him two years to shoot his masterpiece, but one look at the video and you’ll see, feel, and understand that it was all worth it.

In a way, it reminds me of One Second of Beauty, the video Mont Blanc shot for its film festival of one second photos.

Shawn shot the Yosemite time-lapse at 5k in Canon raw with the following gear: Canon 5D Mark IICanon 5D Mark III, Canon 14L II & 16-35L II, Canon 17-40L, 24-105L, 50L, 70-200L IS, KesslerCrane 5 foot Cineslider, Revolution Head, Oracle’s & Basic controller, Elektra Motors, and AT Outrigger Feet.
