On the road to CES 2012, a lot of rumors ran rampant and leaks about gadgets to be unveiled began spreading like wildfire. I don’t know if we’ll see the same sort of thing happening with the Photokina 2012, it’s probably still too early to tell at this point, seeing as the imaging fair is still a few months away.
FYI, the fair is only held once every two years, and this year’s Photokina will be held in Cologne, Germany this September 18 to 23, 2012.
Now here’s a little tidbit about what you can expect from the fair, aside from comprehensive presentations of imaging media, technologies, and markets: two new cameras from Leica.
This information was revealed by DSLR Magazine through an update that they posted on their Twitter account. The original tweet is in Spanish, and you can see what it says, translated to English, above.
There’s speculation that these shooters might pertain to the Leica M10 and a new mirrorless camera system that has been hinted at by several Leica executives.
