One of the main reasons I don’t carry a camera with me very often is because I break things easily, so I generally stick with a smartphone camera unless I know I’m going to need the heavy artillery. This is why this little gadget caught my attention: the touchscreen Panasonic HM-TA20… Built as shock proof up to 1.5 meters, dust proof, and waterproof to three meters, this 1080i pocket sized camera is for those of us who either live too hectically, or are too clumsy to carry a decent camcorder without dropping.
The best thing about this camera is that the price tag comes under $200, which places it into the “affordable gadget” category. The fact that it takes 8mb still images means that you can leave all your other camera’s at home. Techradar drops a bombshell about having a number of touchscreen functions taking up screen space, meaning that you can never really take full advantage of the 7.5cm screen during recording but they still gave it a 4 out of 5 though, which must mean they’ve done something right.
