How would you like to have the ability to post your Instagram or any filtered photos directly to your WordPress blog? And to have complete creative control and rights to your own work? Pretty much, right?
That’s the main idea behind the creation of the Pressgram Kickstarter project from John Saddington:
“To build an independent publishing platform that isn’t beholden to strange and changing Privacy Policies, Terms of Service, or Licensing agreements under big-name publicly traded social networks for the users to get confused over.”
Basically, Pressgram is WordPress + iPhone/iPad + filtered photos. But what’s in it for you aside from just photo filters? Traffic. That’s right, one of Pressgram’s features is giving you the capability of sharing your photos on social networking sites like Twitter and get the traffic back to your blog every time they click on your creations.
Although the project is on Kickstarter, Saddington is going to make Pressgram as a 100% free download to everyone — right after he gets funded with $50,000. Why that much? You’ll have to visit the project page and read the detailed overview of Pressgram, which includes the $50K budget breakdown.
At the time of writing, the project is just a little over $10K away from hitting its goal with just four days left. If you believe in Pressgram’s purpose, you can help move the project by pledging as little as $1 or as high as $7,000. You can pledge $10,000, but somebody already did that.
