Firmware updates are a manufacturer’s way of releasing added features and fixes to certain issues that users may have reported with regards to their cameras.
Olympus has just released two new firmware updates: one for its OM-D camera and one for its M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 lens.
This firmware update improves the camera’s body-integral image stabilizer when it is being used with one of the following regular Four Thirds lenses that are mountable with the use of an adapter: Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye, Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 18-180mm f/3.5-6.3, and Leica D Vario-Elmar 14-150mm XS.

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3
This firmware update adds support for Panasonic bodies that are equipped with the Zoom Resume feature. It also improves the performance of the Olympus OM-D’s image stabilizer when the camera is used with the 12-50mm lens set to macro mode.
