Mini Canon 5D Mark III camera look-alike 0

I know that April 1st only just passed, but trust me when I say that this is not some late April Fool’s joke. This little Canon 5D Mark III camera impostor is real; its product name is the Mame Cam XL DSLR, and it’s made by Japanese accessory maker Thanko.

Don’t let its real name confuse you: It’s not a shrinked DSLR camera, but rather a compact toy camera that measures only 154x135x105mm and weighs 155 grams.

Even in its diminutive size, the 12MP camera features a 1.5-inch TFT screen monitor, 720/30p video at 30fps, 4x digital zoom, and support for microSD cards of up to 64GB in size.

Now, who are you calling small, eh?

You can grab one for $185 USD via Geekstuff4u. I’m sure you can find enough space for the Mame Cam XL DSLR in your camera bag — or your pocket — but either way, please do let us know what you think if you purchase one before we do.
