If you’re wondering how in the world Kodak managed to announced a new camera — and a Micro Four Thirds at that — after all the bankruptcy and such, then read on.
Technically, the company behind the new Kodak S1 camera is not Kodak. Instead, it’s the one who bought the rights to use their brand name earlier this month. The firm is called JK Imaging.
The compact camera was unveiled in China by JK Imaging’s reps. It is reportedly going to feature a built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with a compelling “Best Designed for Smartphone” marketing slogan.
Details of the Kodak S1 are still scarce, but the new MFT camera is expected to become available within the third quarter of 2013.
