Images and Specs for the Sony a37 and NEX-F3 Cameras Leaked ⁰

Seems like a lot went down last weekend as Indonesian website yangcanggih.com leaked two of Sony’s new shooters, the a37 and the NEX-F3. Sony is expected to make an official announcement for both cameras on May 17th.

Sony a37

The a37 has been rumored for quite a while now, especially when Sony decided to cancel the a35. Here are the specs for the camera:

• 16.1 MP sensor
• ISO range: 100-16,000
• Steady-shot: 2.5-4 stops of image stabilization
• 15 points autofocus with 3 cross sensors
• Tiltable LCD
• 100% coverage view finder
• 1080 24p HD video with face detection (60i option also available)
• 7fps
• Weight: 448g
• Price: $599 with 18-55mm lens, $799 with the 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 SAM
• Ships out this June

Sony NEX-F3

Sony is adding another shooter to its NEX series with the NEX-F3, which is going to be a compact mirrorless camera system. Here are the specs for the NEX-F3:

• 16.1 MP sensor (same as a37)
• Latest Bionz processor
• ISO: 100-16,000
• 1080 24p HD video (60i option also available)
• MP4 Codec
• 3:2 in MP4 mode
• 180 degree LCD for easier self portraits (no touchscreen)
• Built-in flash
• Battery capacity: 470 images per charge
• 3fps
• Three colors: silver, black and white
• Kit price: $599
• Ships out this June

May 17th is fast approaching, so we can either confirm or debunk these specs and rumors when the official announcement comes.
