As a studio photographer, Preston Vance used to rent a beauty dish all the time as it was “the best form of light” when shooting his subjects. Then he started wondering if he could bring the same quality of light to the DSLR camera using only its pop-up flash.
After seven years of designing and refining, Vance and Impact Design Associates came up with the current working prototype of the Flekt System. Flekt is designed to be portable (and affordable) for photographers of all levels who want to take better photos with their DSLRs, using the often times unloved pop-up flash. By pledging at least $65 at Kickstarter, you can already get one of the first production units of Flekt.
