Firmware Updates Now Available: v1.03 for Fuji X10, v1.13 for Fuji X100 0

Two Fuji shooters recently received a firmware upgrade: the Fuji X10 and the Fuji X100. Fuji recently created some buzz about the X100 at the last CES 2012 when they revealed a black, limited edition version of the shooter will be made available in March. Only 10,000 units of the premium X100 will be sold, with each priced at $1,699.99.

Fuji X10 v1.03

The firmware update for the Fuji X10 incorporates the following issues:

  • New function for “RAW” button can be applied by customer’s preference
  • Each value set on ISO sensitivity and Dynamic range can be maintained even if aperture setting mode (P / A / S / M) is changed.
  • Face detection function is upgraded to keep tracking face by means of face-tracking AF function.
  • Blooming (White disk) phenomena, which can be observed in EXR AUTO mode, is reduced.
  • Compatibility on Mac OS 10.7 has been added.
  • The image area with high brightness might be recorded as “black-out” area, just in case of dedicated shooting condition. This unpleasant phenomenon is improved.
  • When the flash is used under macro shooting condition, light-reflected area was shown in greenish. This unpleasant phenomenon is improved.

Fuji X100 v1.13

The firmware update for the Fuji X100 incorporates the following issues:

  • Compatibility on Mac OS 10.7 has been added.
  • When VIEW MODE is set to EYE SENSOR activated mode, the camera may be frozen after changing OVF/EVF at dedicated shooting condition. This unpleasant phenomenon is improved.
  • After shooting images at A mode, if mode dial sent to other mode and returned into A mode during data recording, shutter of the camera may not work properly. This unpleasant phenomenon is improved.
