If you’re into bokeh, you’ll love this tutorial video by Matt of Make Magazine on how to create your very own bokeh shapes.
Before getting down and dirty with this easy DIY project, you’ll first need to obtain a DSLR camera, a lens with a wide aperature (f/1.8 or f/1.4 is good), black paper, scissors, an exacto knife, a ruler, and a compass.
Now that you’ve gathered up all of your tools, you can start making bokeh shapes by watching this video:
It goes without saying that you can make just about any shape you’d like out of the black paper — the only limit is your imagination!
