Most camera manufacturers display yet-to-be-released lenses, cameras, and accessories at trade shows like last January’s CES 2012 that saw numerous rumors debunked and a lot more confirmed. Now don’t expect as many product announcements or launches at the WPPI 2012 Wedding Photographer Trade Show, but do expect to get sneak previews of digital imaging products that aren’t available in the market yet, starting with Canon.
Canon is showcasing their latest EF-series interchangeable lenses at the show, including pre-production samples of the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM, EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM, and EF 28mm f/2.8 IS USM lenses. You can also expect to see the EOS-1D X Digital SLR and the Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital SLR camera at their booths.

WPPI 2012 participants can also examine the EOS 7D Digital SLR camera and a range of accessories like the Canon Speedlites and Canon Wireless File Transmitter units. The manufacturer will also be displaying their PIXMA PRO-1 Professional Inkjet Printer and the imagePROGRAF iPF6300 large format printer.
Wedding and portrait photographers don’t just take still photographs; rather, some have also chosen to work with video as their medium. For that reason, Canon will also be displaying and demonstrating the EOS C300 Digital Cinema Camera along with a lineup of lenses, including the Canon EF, EF-S and Cinema EF lenses
The WPPI 2012 is currently ongoing, opening last February 16 and set to wrap up on February 23, 2o12. If you’re an attendee, you might want to drop by Canon’s booths, booth #401 and booth #1465, at the MGM Grand Conference Center from February 2o-22.
