The folks at Gizmodo recently pitted the new Canon DLSR cameras, 1DX, 5D Mark III, and T4i/650D, against each other in a video comparison test. Their main aim is to see if there’s a variance in the quality of the image when it comes to the camera price. To simply put: what do we get in a camera that cost around $1000, $3000, and $7000?
All cameras shot the same scene with a Canon 24-105 f/4 lens, which is set to f/9, 1/50, ISO 100. They used a picture style with contrast at 0, sharpness at 0, and saturation at -2. The T4i’s focal length was also adjusted to be identical to the other cameras.
The result of the test showed what each of us would have guessed in the first place. The 1DX is better than the 5D Mark III, and the 5D Mark III is better than the T4i. Hit the source link below to read on how these guys did their video shootout comparison with the three Canon cameras.
