Watch out GoPro, Sony is going to enter the action sports camera arena! Sony has recently announced that they are currently developing a new hi-def wearable video camera.
Mainly targeted for those action sports enthusiasts, the new video camera features a small and lightweight design with ultra-wide angle Carl Zeiss lens, SteadyShot image stabilization, and Exmor image sensor.
Complete details of the new Sony wearable camera is still limited. But so far, Sony stated that it will come with ruggedized and waterproof housings.
Once the new camera becomes available, it will be interesting to watch how Sony is going to compete in the compact action sports and POV camera category, which is currently dominated by GoPro and other smaller companies. We’ll find out soon enough.
