You might think that the process of making ND filters is highly mechanical or at least automated. You couldn’t be more wrong, as you’ll soon see in the behind-the-scenes video below where Mike Browne takes a grand tour of the Lee Filters factory.

Mike goes from station to station, from where the resin is made to QA, then to the dye coating stage before the lenses are finally shipped off. Watch Mike with Lee Filters’ Eddie Ruffell who gives him a quick run-through of what happens at each stage of the process.
