With the emergence of popular films like Avatar, there has been quite a bit of attention shifted towards 3D media. Not only are a whole slew of consumers making their way towards 3D movies in the cinema but it’s also opened a market for 3D cameras and camcorders. If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll know that a whole slew of manufacturers have come forth with their own 3D offerings, branding from the super cheap to the super expensive. This is great because it allows anyone from amateur consumers all the way to enterprising professionals to create beautiful 3D videos and images.
However, when you’re often asked to pay anywhere from $150+ for a 3D camera or camcorder, chances are you’re going to be paying several thousand dollars for a television to display your work. Luckily, if you’re fine with displaying said work on an 8-inch screen there is now a cheaper solution. It’s just been made known that a company called GADMEI has come forth with a 8-inch tablet complete with glasses-free 3D technology for just $199.99 – the price that many low end 3D camcorders are going for.
In terms of technical specs, the GADMEI T863-3D features a 1280 x 800 resolution, 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, Mali 400 GPU, 8GB of internal storage, microSD slot, HDMI-out and USB ports, WiFi, front facing camera for video conference calls and a 5,000 mAh battery. Software wise the tablet is running Google’s Android 2.3 otherwise known as Gingerbread.
Compared to tablets like the iPad 2 the T863-3D may seem a bit lackluster but if you’re looking for a device with a 3D display this tablet may be just for you. Check out more information at the source link below.
